Folbot Kayak Auction to Benefit Superstorm Disaster Relief

Charleston, SC-based Folbot folding kayaks will be auctioning its last remaining Metrobot—a special edition Folbot Citibot with an iconic NYC subway map on the deck—in an effort to support the American Red Cross after Frankenstorm Sandy’s impact on New York City. Made in conjunction with the New York City MTA, this unique portable Folbot Citibot “Metrobot” features an iconographic New York subway map on the urethane coated polyester kayak deck.

By making a bid on the last remaining Metrobot, Folbot fans around the world can help Sandy disaster victims and collect a limited-edition Folbot. Bidding ends Friday November 16 at noon, EST.

The Citibot’s are the lightest boats in the Folbot line, made from hypalon and polyester, capable of carrying 210 pounds. They are sturdy and compact, track easily, and feature a comfortable seat. Folbots come with their own carrying pack, fit in a closet or trunk when folded and easily go on a plane, bus or car; and are completely made in the U.S.
