Since 2013, Vibe has focused on giving paddlers of all levels the opportunity to experience the freedom that comes with paddling. The brand is built on a passion for the water, fishing, and outdoor living, and its touts its products as the perfect combination of good looks, great features, and affordability.
“At the end of the day, we strive to be more than just an outdoor company—we are committed to coming alongside and serving those who just can’t get enough of “out there,” says CEO and co-founder Josh Thomas. “What's a hobby? This is life.”
Vibe’s newest boat is the Yellowfin 130T, a 13-foot-long, 35-inch-wide sit-on-top tandem that holds two adults (“If you’re willing to share your secret honey holes with anyone,” says Thomas). Priced under $1K and with a load capacity of 500 lbs., the Yellowfin comes with two Hero seats and two Vibe Journey paddles. The breathable-mesh seats with metal frames can be placed in multiple seating positions including as a solo set-up. Ride-wise, a uniquely designed hull rides high in the water while still being stable and maneuverable.
“It was basically built by our customers,” says Thomas, adding it’s available in four colors: Blue Lagoon, Sunset Camo, Moss Camo and Jam Berry. “We listened and then incorporated the input from current Vibe owners and our Pro Team to design it. That guidance led us to build a ridiculously comfortable, capable boat that is perfect for both family recreation or serious kayak fishing.”
